The Six Freedoms Kept From Black Folk’s Grasp

Being black in America is one hell of an experience that white people, definitely would not trade. Being black in America means automatically to be feared as “America’s Boogeyman”. Being black in America means that you will have to give your children, very unique “talks” (that no other race has to do) to keep them from getting lynched. Being black means that you are infinitely the “other” to the white person’s “self”.

I never seen any document that attempts to word out the lack of freedoms black people exist with. …

Dear White Guys:

Dear white men

Dear complete and utterly butt-hurt, white supremacy-endorsing white men who show up in the comment’s section of my articles:

No one likes you. Not even your mom. And you smell.

But more to the point, no one is listening to your passive-aggressive asses in the comment’s section. No Black educational activist, journalist, or research writer is listening to you whine and complain.

The intelligent Black men similar to me writing think-pieces on racism and white supremacy are not bound to listen to your rants. Our intelligent Black women writing on these internet streets damn sure ain’t listening to your rants…

Proud Boys use their white supremacy hand gesture, which is something often used with a very weak plausible deniability argument. The action of signaling white supremacy, in this case, is overt, but those committing the act think this is clandestine. Common parlance calls this “dog-whistling.” Washington, D.C. 12 Dec 2020 / Photo Credit: Johnny Silvercloud

Covert, Overt, and Clandestine Operations

It seems many people do not know the difference between these three. In this column, I’m going to attempt to make these three concepts easy to understand. I’m going to explain what they are, then give an example of a mission or program that fits, and then I’m going to explain why this is important to know concerning civil rights struggle, racism, and white supremacy.

The easiest way to determine the difference is to think of what the effects are and who is responsible for that mission or program that caused those effects.

The first one is easy; Overt means…

Believe it or not, I got in trouble for taking a photo with a gun. It happened when I was in the Army. My military unit temporarily took all my guns from my home despite the fact that I issued zero threat to anyone at all. All I did was take a photo with my legally owned weapons like White people do. This was in Arizona, too, a “cowboy state” when it comes to gun laws.

I broke no law holding my legally owned firearm in my own home, yet I got in trouble to the extent that I had…

Remembering a Legend

Jim you function as if your profession is to antagonize Black people in a faux-intellectual way. Being that I see right through it, I'll escort you to the door. Blocked.

What if Dentists caused Harm upon Black Folk?

What if things went differently? What if instead of police murdering Black people with immunity to law and ethical consequences, it was dentists who operate radically different across racial lines? What if it was the dentist who pulled wrong teeth from mouths and kept their jobs and whole careers as long as they committed harm to Black people?

What if Black people left the dentist chair with the wrong teeth drilled? The wrong teeth pulled? All their teeth pulled for no reason? Circular blade cuts to the inside of their mouths? What if black people had their tongues cut by…

Early Realizations

Much of my early work experience is Army stuff, due to the fact that I joined the military straight out of high school. One would think that my work experience is not relatable, but I like to challenge those expectations.

In the year 2000, I was perfectly new landing into Germany, stepping foot in the same mud that thousands of Americans — including Black Americans, lost their lives over. I wasn’t like how I am now, deep in thought with a furrowed brow. I was wide-eyed, young, and trusting of regular, designated authority figures.

I remember one of my first…

Tim Scott vs. Black people

On April 28, 2021, President Joe Biden gave a speech stating that White supremacy is the number one threat to America. On his 99th day in office, the president said this:

A cry for racial justice some 400 years in the making moves us. A cry that can’t be any more desperate or any more clear. And now a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat.

White Guilt

“I don’t have white guilt!” ~ American conservative white people

Hello there everyone.

Some of y’all know me, and I imagine a lot of y’all don’t, so here goes:

I’m Johnny, and I have been writing and speaking against white supremacy and racism for nearly a decade now by the time of publishing this (started in 2012). The most significant part of my effort is getting more white people to “get it,” and from there, arm those white folks with the knowledge and conversational techniques to become assets. Not just white allies, white assets. You know, like a bunch of…
